LACTOBACILLUS MRS AGAR
Use for the enrichment, isolation and cultivation of all species of Lactobacillus
from clinical specimens, foods, beer, wine and dairy products. For the cultivation
and maintenance of Aerococcus viridians, Bi dobacterium coryneforme, Lactococcus
plantarum, Leuconostoc species, Pectinatus cerevisiiphilus, Pediococcus
species, and Sporolactobacillus inulinus. Supplemented with 50ug/ml of
cycloheximide (CODE # 8811) for the selective isolation of Oenococcus oeni (formerly
Leuconostoc oenos) from wine. Supplemented with 40-50 % wine enhance
growth of Oenococcus oeni.
